New Swanson’s Song “Forever” Produced by Nashville Trax wins Pop Rock Song of the Year!

The Swansons 14 song album titled “7” dropped in July of 2025. The first single “Forever” promptly won The Josie Award for 2025 Pop Rock Song of the Year. The Josie’s, held at the Opry in Nashville TN, is the biggest independent music awards show in the world.

“Wake Up”, the previous album from the Swansons duo dropped August 30th 2024.

wake Up contains 11 songs penned by Joe Finley and featuring the alt country sound the duo has been evolving under Nashville Trax producer Bill Watson. Prior to Watson’s influence on their sound which started in 2016 with Country This, the duo had been a rock act, releasing rock oriented albums.

And currently an entire album (as yet untitled) has stated tracking with a plan to release in 2026

Other Swansons’ albums produced over the past several years by Nashville Trax include Country This, Bam and Amazing Love.

The just released movie, Twister, starring Miranda Lambert features a song Miranda co-wrote with our fiddle player, Jennee. It’s titled “I Ain’t In Kansas Anymore”. Jenee also played on it!

The only female ever nominated as the CMA Musician of the Year? And then went on to win 5 times in a row? That’s Jenee!

She also plays session quality mandolin.
